Home Appliance Rebate Program
EWEB's appliance program, Energy SHARP, offers rebates to encourage customers to purchase energy efficient clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters. The program is straight-forward: you purchase an appliance that's on EWEB's lists of energy efficient units, send in the rebate form and EWEB sends you a check or credits your electric bill for between $15 and $70.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify for a rebate, eligible appliance models must be installed
within the EWEB electric service area. Clothes washers, dishwashers, freezers and refrigerators
must be ENERGY STAR® qualified. Electric storage water heaters must meet the requirements listed below.
Financing and incentives
The rebates listed below are available through Sept. 30, 2008,* to Energy SHARP program participants.

Electric storage water heaters shall meet the following requirements
- 50-gallon models with a 0-19 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.93
- 50-gallon models with a min. 20 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.94
- 65-gallon models with a 0-19 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.91
- 65-gallon models with a min. 20 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.94
- 80-gallon models with a 0-19 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.91
- 80-gallon models with a min. 20 year tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.92
Oregon income tax credits are available for making homes more energy efficient. Application forms, instructions and lists of qualifying appliances are available from appliance dealers, contractors or installers.

Contact EWEB for lists of qualifying models and rebate coupons. Information is also available at Eugene area appliance dealers.
Purchase a qualifying appliance.
Complete the coupon/application, attach a copy of the sales receipt showing the brand name and model of qualifying appliance and send both to EWEB.
EWEB staff validates the coupon and model information and issues payment.
