Based on snowpack data and summer stream forecasts, EWEB will adjust flows into the Walterville canal mid-June through October 2020.
Owned by EWEB since 1994, Stone Creek is a small but mighty hydro generation project on the Clackamas River.
For decades, we have worked to protect the McKenzie River, our primary water source. The river emerges from Clear Lake, high in the Cascade Mountains, before flowing 85 miles to Hayden Bridge Water Filtration Plant, where we draw water from the river. We employ a multi-faceted approach to protecting the river, which includes multiple monitoring sites throughout the McKenzie River watershed and at Cougar and Blue River reservoirs.
EWEB and the American Water Works Association are observing Drinking Water Week by recognizing the vital role tap water plays in daily life, the infrastructure that is required to treat it and then distribute it to homes and businesses, and the important “behind the scenes” work of water professionals here in Eugene and throughout the country.
