As a citizen-owned utility, the Eugene Water & Electric Board participates in many community activities, events and special programs. Below is a schedule of EWEB-related events scheduled for 2010 that help make Eugene a great place to live.

  • Jan. 22-24: Good Earth Home, Garden and Living Show, EWEB to host a booth, Lane County Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave., www.eugenehomeshow.com

  • April 7: Climate change: What are our representatives doing?, a free public forum including speakers Rep. Phil Barnhart, Lane County Commissioner Pete Sorenson and Mayor Kitty Piercy, 7 p.m., Harris Hall, 125 Eighth Ave.
  • April 24: Earth Day Celebration, EWEB’s River Edge Plaza, 500 E. Fourth Ave., www.earthdayoregon.com
May

  • May 2: Eugene Marathon, EWEB to host a water station at EWEB’s River Edge Plaza, race starts and ends at Hayward Field, www.eugenemarathon.com
