As a citizen-owned utility, the Eugene Water & Electric Board participates in many community activities, events and special programs.

Below is a schedule of EWEB-related events scheduled for 2017. Check back frequently for new information as dates are subject to change.



January

  • Jan. 9: Ice Storm: Customer Open House
    If you're an EWEB customer who lost power following the December 2016 outage, you are invited to an open house at EWEB's Headquarters North Building from 4 to 6 p.m. Drop in to share your experience, ask questions and learn more about EWEB's approach to the event.
  • Jan. 20-22: Good Earth Home, Garden and Living Show
    Visit EWEB's booth to speak with our energy experts about rebates, programs, and no- and low-cost tips. Lane County Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave.

April

  • TBA: McKenzie Memories
    EWEB is proud to sponsor the 6th annual celebration of the history of the McKenzie with storytelling, historic photos, music and more. Stay tuned for details.
  • TBA: Kidwind Challenge
    EWEB education grants support this project which provide students the opportunity for hands-on science and engineering. Students from school districts in the area will be invited to the local challenge held at Meadowview School.
May

  • May 7-13: National Drinking Water Week
    Watch for fun facts, tips, quizzes and more as we celebrate Drinking Water Week
  • May 7: Eugene Marathon
    EWEB will be at the tenth annual Eugene Marathon distributing clean, refreshing water.
June

  • TBA: EWEB Solar Challenge
    Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by 10:45 a.m. opening and first race at 11 a.m., Cal Young Middle School.
  • TBA: McKenzie River Trust's Living River Celebration
    Celebrate Green Island, located where the Willamette and McKenzie Rivers come together. Enjoy music, cold beverages, naturalist guides, story tellers and more. Free and family-friendly. Sponsored by EWEB.
July

  • July 4: 43rd anniversary Butte-to-Butte Run
    EWEB volunteers to host two water stations along the course.
  • July 19-23: Lane County Fair
    EWEB, SUB and RWD employees will host a complimentary drinking water booth. Refill your water bottle with cool, refreshing tap water!
August

September

  • Sept. 9-17: National Drive Electric Week
    Stay tuned for details on EWEB's participation in this celebration of electric vehicles.
  • TBA: BRING Home and Garden Tour
    Explore the latest in sustainable home design and gardening and celebrate the ingenuity that defines our community. Co-hosted by EWEB.
October

  • Oct. 1-7: Public Power Week
    Celebrate the benefits of public power with free cookies and coffee in the EWEB lobby, 500 E. Fourth Ave.
November

  • Nov. 19: EWEB Run to Stay Warm
    Join us for the 5K, 10K, half marathon and Kids 400 meter dash. All proceeds benefit EWEB's Customer Care program for income-eligible customers who are struggling to pay their monthly utility bills and stay warm through the winter month. The event starts and finishes at EWEB's River Edge Plaza.
