Calendar of events
As a citizen-owned utility, the Eugene Water & Electric Board participates in many community
activities, events and special programs. Below is a schedule of EWEB-related events scheduled
for 2010 that help make Eugene a great place to live.
- Jan. 22-24: Good Earth Home, Garden and Living Show, EWEB to host a booth, Lane County
Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave.,

- March 3: Riverfront master plan presented to the public, 7-8:30 p.m., Eugene
Hilton, 66 E. Sixth Ave.,
- March 31: Under One Sky, Along One Stream — Health of the
Willamette River: Challenges and Opportunities, 7 p.m., EWEB North Building, 500 East Fourth Ave.,
- April 7: Climate change: What are our representatives doing?,
a free public forum including speakers Rep. Phil Barnhart, Lane County
Commissioner Pete Sorenson and Mayor Kitty Piercy, 7 p.m., Harris Hall, 125 Eighth Ave.
- April 24: Earth Day Celebration, EWEB’s River Edge Plaza, 500 E. Fourth Ave.,
- May 2: Eugene Marathon, EWEB to host a water station at EWEB’s River Edge Plaza,
race starts and ends at Hayward Field,

- July 4: Butte-to-Butte Run, EWEB to host multiple water stations, race starts at
Spencer Butte Middle School, 500 E. 43rd Ave.,
- Aug. 18-22: Lane County Fair, EWEB will have a booth with free drinking water, Lane County
Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave.,
- Aug. 27-29: Eugene Celebration, EWEB will have a booth with free drinking water,
Downtown Eugene,

- Oct. 4-8: Public Power Week, free cookies, coffee and energy-saving light
bulbs in the EWEB lobby, 500 E. Fourth Ave.
- Oct. 8-10: Lane County Home Improvement Show, EWEB to host a booth, Lane
County Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave.,
- Nov. 20: , events starts and finishes at EWEB's River Edge Plaza
