EWEB Run to Stay Warm
The third annual EWEB Run to Stay Warm took place on Saturday, Nov 21. Records numbers took part in
Eugene's newest running tradition, which features the only half marathon of the season in the region.
The event again included a half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids 400M Dash.
All proceeds benefit EWEB's to help income-eligible customers
who are having difficulty paying their utility bills. More than 4,000 households
are helped each year.
Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered and contributed to the event.
The course began at EWEB's River Edge Plaza, followed the paved bike paths along
the beautiful Willamette River and ended back at EWEB.
The EWEB Run to Stay Warm offered chip race timing to provide the quickest, most accurate race results for
all participants.
Prizes were awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and to age division winners
in each race. All half-marathon finishers received a finisher award. The top walkers and wheelchair participants
in the 5K and 10K received awards. All kids participating in the 400M dash
received a medal and goodie bag. Random prize drawings were held for all participants.
