Lane County is committed to carbon conscious initiatives, including participating in EWEB’s Cleanpower Program to help developers of solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources to build zero-emission generation. With the adoption of Lane County’s Climate Action Plan Phase 3: Community Climate Resilience Plan, Lane County is installing green infrastructure, while supporting others to do the same.
Cleanpower helps support this strategy by strengthening community investment in emissions reduction. Commissioner Farr stated, “… people will be interested to see what we potentially can do in our tiny spot of the world…”.
