We are currently experiencing high call volume.

Due to the opening of our Customer Care program, we are experiencing higher-than-normal call volume. Callers may receive a busy signal or extended on-hold time. EWEB staff are working hard to answer the high volume of calls and we ask customers wishing to apply for assistance to consider using our online form

For this option, we would work with a local artist to create a mural of reservoir 607. Signage could be placed nearby to provide information and background about the reservoir's history and significance.

Challenges

Of all our water storage sites, College Hill is the most prone to vandalization, particularly spray painting. Below are photos from the most recent vandalization of College Hill, which occurred on March 7, 2024. EWEB responded to an initial graffiti call. After we applied a first coat of paint, the vandals returned and re-tagged over the same areas. Graffiti is an eyesore for neighbors and the cleanup is costly from a maintenance perspective.

Because it would likely become an attractive nuisance, we advise against putting the mural on the College Hill site. Instead, we could work to have the mural located elsewhere in the city through the Community Murals Program.
